Years ago, TNT had a fantastic TV show about a group of thieves doing “Robin Hood” jobs called, Leverage. And while this book is less “stealing from bad people to help good people,” it gives major Leverage vibes and therefore completely won me over.

Initial thoughts at finish: This was such a cute story, with plenty of spice. I’ll absolutely be digging into the rest of Charish Reid’s catalog.
Favorite quote:
Everything I own is yours, Celeste.
Main story: Two jewel-thieves get a second-chance at love when they’re brought together for one more job.
Time it took to be hooked: From the beginning
Favorite part of the book: The heists…they kept me on the edge of my seat!
What the story meant to me: This was one of several books I’ve read lately that discuss the fleeting-ness of life. It’s a reminder to seize each day and never take a moment for granted. While no, I don’t condone stealing, I do condone doing the thing that makes you happy. (As long as it’s not hurting anyone else.)
Final thoughts: I thoroughly enjoyed this read and am sending out good vibes into the universe that Charish decides to write a book giving us Beatrice and Santiago’s story…
